We are actively seeking a qualified Senior Energy Engineer to support commercial, industrial, institutional and residential energy efficiency projects across the Northeast. Candidates must possess outstanding technical capabilities including knowledge of high performance HVAC and green design both for new construction and existing buildings. Strong credentials in building energy modeling as well as individuals with a passion for technology and the capacity to continuously develop new skills are strongly encouraged to apply. 
Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of experience and be ready to quickly take responsibility with a small team of talented, qualified engineers on challenging, often innovative projects. 

Requirements:
• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required, and a MS or PhD is an advantage 
• Minimum 4 years of direct experience with energy modeling and energy audits 
• Excellent communication and capacity to interact at high level and manage several projects simultaneously 
• PE license (as weall as CEM and LEED accredition) are definitive plus but won't be an obstacle for the right candidate

Environmental Sustainability Management Consultant (NYC)

Building Energy Modeler (NYC)

Altanova Energy+Sustainability is looking for Building Energy Modeler to join our New York office.

Requirements:

• Minimum of three years experience in building mechanical systems design. (HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.)
• At least one year’s experience of energy modeling using eQuest, or equivalent.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings.
• Ability to apply prescriptive requirements of energy codes (i.e. all recent versions of ASHRAE 90.1)
• Critical thinking and problem solving; initiative and inclination to learn.
• Master's degree in mechanical engineering.
• LEED AP or LEED Green Associate, or pararedness to qualify for either within six months.
• Further certification in Energy Modeling, Buildings Systems Performance, Energy Assessment or Sustainable Engineering preferred.
