LEED Certification services

Altanova has extensive experience with all LEED certification tracks (version 2.2 and 2009), and assists owners to develop a clear strategy to achieve cost-effective certification.

We advise on the selection of credits to target, provide guidance on achieving the credits, and support members of the design team responsible for documenting credit submittals. We also liaise with the GBCI throughout the certification process.

Drawing on our expertise in engineering and energy efficiency, we also complete all the technical credits of the LEED scope, including energy modeling, commissioning, daylighting calculation, etc...

Scope of Services

Task 1: LEED Charrette
Altanova will facilitate, prepare and orchestrate a full-day charrette to identify the LEED strategy for the project by evaluating each LEED prerequisite and credit. We will also develop meeting minutes, scorecard and tracking based on the LEED charrette.

Task 2:  LEED Application Submission
Altanova will coordinate the submission of the application for LEED Registration and Certification, on behalf of the owner, to the US Green Building Council. In addition, we will set up LEED Online for the project team.

Task 3:  Building Energy Model
Altanova will perform an energy model on the building for LEED “Optimize Energy Performance” credit.  The building energy model will look at all aspects of the building that affects energy performance: insulation, windows, envelop, HVAC system lighting, etc.

Task 4: LEED Documentation Management, Coordination and Technical Guidance
Altanova will provide support to the project team to aid in implementation of strategies identified during the LEED charrette. These may include: introducing documentation requirements, review of product submittals, assist in LEED calculations, developing LEED action plans, etc.

Task 5:  LEED Additional Application Support (If required)
Altanova will provide additional support for the application process by providing and coordinating submittal of Credit Interpretation Requests (CIR’s) with USGBC and Coordinate credit appeals in response to GBCI's review (final LEED phase review).
